Flipkart the eCommerce giant came to the limelight only because of it great customer service and delivery and not because of its range of products. Customer delight was their priority and to take that philosophy forward they launched '
Flipkart First' (Priority Customer Service).
Of lately, I see that commitment to service is depleting.
1. Failing in delivery commitments - They commit same day delivery or delivery with 24 hours but their day ends at 10pm. In case you have given an office address they expect you to be in office till 10 pm and wait for the delivery and if you opt not to wait then you will have to chase them for delivery next day with lot of favour.
2. Customer Service is poor - No empowerment - Flipkart is bombarding people with sales on unheard or dead brands like Moto and Xiaomi. Of course there are issues in products and people attack their call centre helpline. Their agents are just messengers (without any sort of empowerment) who lodge a complaint and give a stand reply that 'concerned dept will call back', which never happens. Plus if you are 'Flipkart First' customer they will mark your complaint as 'urgent' but still no one call/contacts for 48 hours. Sometimes for even 7 days. If you choose to send an email, 80% of the times, you will not get a resolution reply on email.
[My own case - I have got a faulty Moto G 2nd Gen - with water marks on screen and almost dead battery. I have knocked all doors at flipkart without any resolution. Still waiting for that concerned dept to call and refund my money].
3. Customer dissonance during sale on special products like Mi3. Why do they have invite so many people for sale when their sale lasts just for 2 second. Huge marketing gimmick. Mind it... it might have worked so far but soon people will stop showing interest.
4. Price - they are not the lowest in terms of prices. Snapdeal.com is consistently better.
I have now stopped shopping from Flipkart. I am sure there are many such customers.
Above is my personal experience. Your's can be different.
