Twitter is a not a new thing to internet it has gained great popularity worldwide since it was launched in 2006. But even today I come across the people who either do not know twitter or are confused about what the heck is twitter. Well we will have to understand twitter is not a chatting tool but it should be seen as a tool just to express what you want to express. Most of the time confusion about Twitter arises from the fact that we see it as a chatting tool because we are alien to the concept of talking to the strangers. We believe the talking to strangers only is for asking directions. Twitter is the evolution of mobile messaging to become a real-time information network powered by millions of people around the world.


It lets you share and discover what’s happening now in message less than 140 characters long. As twitter says "Whether it’s breaking news, a local traffic jam or a deal at your favorite shop, Twitter keeps you informed with what matters most to you".

You can use twitter for you can use twitter for making new friends, personal branding, taking opinions, research and much more. Now you might be interested to know how you can use twitter. It’s actually simple, if you have not already; create your account on Twitter by choosing you username password and very few other details. Once signed in the next step is to find people whom you would share with. My suggestion is search anything of your interest (say yoga or cricket or word of the day) you can also click on the links of trending topics provided on right panel. Twitter will show a list of the messages (Tweets) sent by people all across the world. Now if any of these tweets interest you; you might like to receive more tweets from the person who sent that tweet. You can follow this person by clicking his (or her) name and the clicking "Follow" button. You can also look for your friends by their email ID if they are present on Twitter. Once you have followed few people you will see all tweets by these people on your dashboard. Just listen (in fact read) for a while to get the feel of kind of conversations on the twitter and eventually you can also contribute by sending your own tweets about the things you like. Your tweets will bring you followers the same way you became followers of the people whose tweets interested you. Soon you will create a circle of your own on the twitter sphere.
